Skip is a ranch, lawyer and real estate investor.  Skip grew up in Lake Village, Arkansas, on Sunnyside Plantation, where cotton and cattle were king.  Skip went off to college and then to law school.  He started ranching in 1991 with a cow-calf operation.  Skip moved to a stocker cattle operation about ten years ago, focusing on number one northern angus steers. Skip competes in working cow horse competition, penning, and sorting, and now, with the help of Doug Volkman, training horses.  When not working at his law firm, he is riding horses and working cattle.  He competes in the United States Team Penning Association and the Dixie Regional Team Penning Association.  He supplies cattle to team penning events.  Skip is a two-time USTPA World Champion Team Penner.  Skip enjoys the fast-paced arena where strategy, skill, and teamwork come together.
